“Thoroughly Modern Dresden Plate”
Country Fare Quilter’s Guild’s 2017 Donation Quilt was designed and constructed by guild member Callie Reed with the 2016 Fabric Challenge blocks created by various guild members and machine quilted by Wanda Jones.
2017 Fabric Challenge
Each year the guild issues a challenge to our members to create blocks using a chosen fabric(s) within a given theme. The completed blocks are displayed anonymously at our annual quilt show and voted on by the public. Viewer’s Choice ribbons are awarded accordingly. The guild’s Donation Quilt for the following year is then created with the fabric challenge blocks.
The 2017 theme is house blocks with red doors. The blocks were displayed for Viewer’s Choice voting at our October 2017 Quilt Show as shown:
Viewer’s Choice Winners:
1st Place – Sharon Christensen
2nd Place – Steve Anna True
3rd Place – Sharon Christensen
Honorable Mention – Cindy Briggs, Paula Klaassen, and Judy Haines
