“Thoroughly Modern Dresden Plate”

Country Fare Quilter’s Guild’s 2017 Donation Quilt was designed and constructed by guild member Callie Reed with the 2016 Fabric Challenge blocks created by various guild members and machine quilted by Wanda Jones. The quilt will be given away at our annual  “Autumn Leaves” Quilt Show on Saturday, October 21, 2017. Tickets can be obtained at our guild meetings and from guild members.

2016 Fabric Challenge

The guild issues a fabric challenge to our members each year to create blocks using a chosen fabric(s). The blocks are voted on at our annual quilt show and ribbons awarded. The guild’s donation quilt for the following year is then constructed with the fabric challenge blocks, which have been created by various guild members. The theme for the 2016 challenge was to put a modern spin on the traditional Dresden Plate quilt block. Country Fare Quilter’s Guild’s 2016 Donation Quilt

Congratulations to guild member Susan Hatchette!

Susan was last year’s winner of Country Fare Quilter’s Guild’s beautiful 2016 Donation Quilt “Everything’s Black and White.” Her lucky winning ticket was drawn at our annual  “Autumn Leaves” Quilt Show on Saturday, October 22, 2016. The quilt was designed and constructed by Linda Hertensteiner and Paula Klaassen with 2015 Fabric Challenge blocks created by various guild members and then machine quilted by President Judy Haines.
